Hello. What may be the #1 most powerful marketing tool?
Nostalgia.
With or without you, the 80’s can conjure up nostalgic feelings.
A time when you could party all night long (all night) because the stresses of adulthood were not fully understood.
When you just wanted to dance with somebody.
When girls just wanted to have fun.
Sometimes it seems like the end of the world as we know it.
But come on Eileen, that’s where nostalgia can invoke a deep longing for and connection with something bigger than ourselves.
Time after time, when you have a positive bank of memories to draw from, you feel linked to others.
With every breath you take, the past can bring us together in the present.
Sweet child o’ mine, when you’re feeling like I can’t go for that (no can do), when you’re just livin’ on a prayer, realize nostalgia can help you if you’re all out of love.
So if you feel like you just want to steal away from the 9 to 5 this week and do some sailing, or drive your little red corvette, remember … don’t stop believin’ that nostalgia is a hard habit to break.

p.s. 19 eighties song references. Can you find them all?
p.s.s. New cow alert. I painted Early 80’s this weekend. My childhood legwarmers inspired the colors.
